Oakland County Highway Commission Launches New Website

(OCRC, July 26, 2022)

Beverly Hills, MI – The Oakland County Highway Commission (RCOC) has launched an updated website intended to improve the user experience. The site retains the same web address, www.rcocweb.org.

“The redesigned website is simpler, cleaner and easier to use,” explained RCOC CEO Dennis Kolar. “It retains all the same valuable information, but the streamlined design makes it easier to find and access the information you need.”

He added that the site provides all the information people ask most often, such as how to report a pothole, which roads the agency is improving, how gravel roads are maintained, the dust on gravel roads, why roundabouts are a better option at certain intersections, the current level of congestion on specific RCOC roads, and much more.

“Web technology is constantly evolving,” Kolar noted. “This means that we need to periodically update our website to ensure that it remains user-friendly and best meets the needs of our customers. This update helps ensure that we meet those goals.

Kolar added that he encouraged anyone interested to visit the site and dig. “Even if you visit our site regularly, there is probably information available that you are not aware of,” he said. “There’s just a ton of road information on the site, meant to answer almost any question you might have about RCOC roads. There are also links to our social media platforms and a link to submit a question or concern. This site is the backbone of our communications efforts, and we want to ensure that it best serves Oakland County residents, motorists, and businesses.

Additionally, the redesigned site is more easily linked to the newly redesigned RCOC app, which gives users quick access to the most popular parts of the website. The app is available for free by searching for “Oakland County Highway Commission” wherever apps are downloaded.
