Motability Operations, which helps people with disabilities achieve greater independence, giving them access to affordable, worry-free mobility through the Motability programme, has redesigned and relaunched the Motability.co.uk website.

Integrated marketing agency Wunderman Thompson worked on the new site, blending UX, UI and design to enhance the customer experience and actively guide users to get the most out of the mobility program. The scheme allows people to swap their mobility allowance for the hire of a new car, scooter or electric wheelchair – allowing those with different abilities to access their everyday freedom.

The new site, which launched this week, features a more inclusive design, accessible navigation and friendlier tone of voice to create a warmer, more personal experience. Wunderman Thompson worked with illustrator Jess Oddi, who has personal experience living with a disability, to bring a unique and joyful perspective to the brand’s design.

Wunderman Thompson’s work with Motability Operations focuses on improving the onboarding journey and increasing customer confidence in program enrollment. New and improved features include clearer signage and additional guidance, task-based menu offering easier navigation and accessible hooks, clear paths for all products so every visitor can find the product that suits it, and a new product selector tool to help those visitors with less confidence in products – by taking them through a series of simple step-by-step questions to determine the right type of product for their needs and style of life.

Lisa Thomas, CMO at Motability Operations, says, “Wunderman Thompson embraced our vision of worry-free mobility from the start, translating the engaging and user-friendly qualities of our brand and our people into the design of the digital experience. This is an important step in the ongoing transformation of our customer experience, and we look forward to providing our customers with a website and experience that can play an increasingly important role in unleashing their freedom. daily thanks to the mobility programme.

Conrad Rasmussen, chief experience officer at Wunderman Thompson, says Motability Operations clients describe the organization as “superheroes” — that’s the kind of impact they can have. We’re thrilled to have played our part in creating a flexible, smart, and connected platform that empowers people to follow the right journey, with the right support, at the right time.
